WORK HARDENING THERAPY
Our work hardening program bridges the gap between traditional rehab and real-life job demands. Whether you're recovering from a workplace injury or need return-to-work clearance, our programs simulate real job tasks in a medically supervised environment.
WHAT IS WORK HARDENING?
Work hardening is a structured rehabilitation program that bridges the gap between injury recovery and job readiness. It’s more than physical therapy—it’s functional conditioning built to reflect the real-world tasks your job requires.
At Method Athletics, we design work hardening programs to meet specific occupational demands—from lifting and ladder climbs to gear-loaded runs or repetitive tasks. We serve workers under workers’ compensation plans, post-op recovery, or job re-entry after extended medical leave.
WHO WE HELP
We specialize in return-to-work training for:
- Firefighters and Law Enforcement
- EMTs and First Responders
- Electricians, Linemen, and Construction Workers
- Warehouse, Factory, and Manual Labor Employees
- Healthcare Workers and Nurses
If your job requires strength, endurance, agility, or repetition—we help you rebuild those capacities in a safe, progressive environment.
How it works
STEP 1: EVALUATION & JOB DEMANDS ANALYSIS
We review your injury, job description, and functional limitations. Then we simulate job-specific tasks to evaluate your baseline.
STEP 2: Custom Work Hardening Program
We create a 3–6 week progressive rehab plan with:
- Strength and endurance training
- Mobility and coordination exercises
- Real-world movement simulations (lifting, bending, climbing, etc.)
STEP 3: FUNCTIONAL TESTING & PROGRESS TRACKING
We re-assess capacity as you progress, providing reports and documentation to support your return-to-work clearance.
